Members of Iaido and Battodo Federation
of Serbia Dejan Damnjanovic, Jasmina Damnjanovic and Vuk Damnjanovic
visited Kokusai Battodo Renmei for the 8 days keiko in Yokohama,
from 3rd to 12th of July, 2006. The keiko was very fruitful for
our members, and helped greatly the polishing of their technique.
In Kakuseikai dojo, the honbu dojo of the Kokusai Battodo Renmei,
was organized the examination in which Dejan Damnjanovic succesfully
passed his 4th dan. Several additional programmes were organized
for our members. One of them was the visit to Miyairi Norihiro,
katana-kaji (traditional swordsmith) and to his workshop in Nagano
prefecture. On the same occasion, our members had the opportunity
to visit Mr Miyairi Norihiro's exibition of small court knives from
Nara period that was held in Nagano.
The other adittional programme was the demonstration of sword maintenance
and polishing, organized by Maeda Sensei, member of Kakuseikai dojo.
After the demonstration, Maeda Sensei was very kind to show some
of the beautiful examples of swords from his personal collection.
